§ 3. Created; membership; terms; appointment; compensation; residency.

There is hereby created the Screven County Industrial Development Authority which shall be a body corporate and politic, and is hereby declared to be a public corporation created for the development of the industries of Screven County, and for the improving of the general welfare of the people of Screven County. The authority shall consist of seven members appointed by the board of commissioners of roads and revenues of Screven County, Georgia, for terms as follows: two members shall be appointed for a term of one year; two members shall be appointed for a term of two years; two members shall be appointed for a term of three years; and one member shall be appointed for a term of four years; and thereafter upon the expiration of such terms, successors shall be appointed for a term of four years. The members of the authority shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in carrying out their duties for the Screven County Industrial Development Authority. All members of the Authority shall be residents of Screven County, Georgia.
