§ 74-31. Enumeration and description, signs and violation.

(a)

The following speed zones are hereby established based on an engineering and traffic investigation as prescribed by law:

ON-SYSTEM

State Route 17 from the Oliver city limit (M.L. 0.85) to the Rocky Ford city limit (M.L. 20.22), a distance of 19.37 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 17 from the Rocky Ford city limit (M.L. 21.08) to the Jenkins County line (M.L. 23.89), a distance of 2.81 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 21 from the Effingham County line (M.L. 0.00) to the Newington city limit (M.L. 2.98), a distance of 2.98 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 21 from Newington city limit (M.L. 3.95) to the Sylvania city limit (M.L. 16.21), a distance of 12.26 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 21 from the Sylvania city limit (M.L. 18.62) to the Jenkins County line (M.L. 28.74), a distance of 10.12 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 24 from the Bulloch County line (M.L. 0.00) to the Oliver city limit (M.L. 1.95), a distance of 1.95 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 24 from the Oliver city limit (M.L. 2.73) to the Newington city limit (M.L. 6.92), a distance of 4.19 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 24 from the Newington city limit (M.L. 8.11) to the Hilltonia city limit (M.L. 34.87), a distance of 26.76 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 24 from the Hilltonia city limit (M.L. 36.36) to the Burke County line (M.L. 40.86), a distance of 4.5 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 73 from the Bulloch County line (M.L. 0.00) to the Sylvania city limit (M.L. 12.76), a distance of 12.76 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 73 from the Sylvania city limit (M.L. 15.41) to (M.L. 18.68), a distance of 3.27 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 73 runs common with State Route 24 from (M.L. 18.68) to (M.L. 19.35), a distance of 0.67 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

State Route 73 from State Route 24 (M.L. 19.35) to the South Carolina line (M.L. 30.28), a distance of 10.93 to be zoned 55 mph.

Signs shall be erected by the state department of transportation.

County Road 08 from County Road 24 to County Road 237, a distance of 3.53 miles to be zoned 55 mph.

Signs shall be erected by the county.
