§ 66-291. Intent, interpretation and variances.

  • (a)

    This article is intended to permit uses of land which will not have an adverse economic or environmental impact on adjoining property or property within close proximity thereto. In addition, the intent of this article is to protect and preserve public health, safety, convenience, order and the general welfare of the people of the county.

    (b)

    Unless modified by grant of hardship variance, the standards of this article shall apply, in addition to those contained in articles VI and VIII of this chapter and are hereby declared to be the minimum requirements for designated uses of land and structures within the county.
