§ 14-142. Responsibility.

  • (a)

    All lots, houses, buildings, offices, and structures within the county shall be properly and orderly numbered in accordance with the numbering plan as established in this section.

    (b)

    It shall be the duty of the owners and/or occupants of every house and structure within the county to have attached thereon, in a place visible from the street or road, contrasting figures at least 2½ inches high, showing the proper assigned number of the house or structure.

    (c)

    Those houses or structures not visible from the street or road shall display contrasting figures as described in subsection (b) of this section at the intersection of the driveway/access and the street or road upon a post or marker on the county or state right-of-way. The figures shall be displayed no less than two feet above the ground and shall be displayed on the same side of the street or road upon which the house or structure is located.
